Synopsis
Many of you have heard Earnest L. Thayer's immortal poem Casey at the Bat... What you don't know is the story behind the poem... It's the summer of 1888 here in Cincinnati folks, a time when the air is warm and sweet and the sky is cornflower blue. Ma's in the kitchen baking a pie for supper and young boys can only think of one thing: baseball! Join us to celebrate the 120-year anniversary of the classic poem and the grand opening of Great American Ballpark with this new musical by Jerry Handorf and Scot Woolley.
