CINCINNATI, OH — The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati celebrates the holidays with Dr. Seuss. Audiences will enjoy Seussical, Jr. December 7-9, 2007 at the Taft Theatre. This fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza features favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including: Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville!

Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once On This Island, and Ragtime) have lovingly brought to life these classic, colorful tales, brought together by Jojo, a young boy and "thinker of strange and wonderful thinks!" As each story unfolds, audiences will marvel at how relevant and profound Seuss's subtle themes are, making this musical appealing to all ages.

The production is being directed by Jack Louiso, Artistic Director of The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati. Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Co-Conceived by Eric Idle, Music by Stephen Flaherty, and Lyrics by Lynn Ahrens.

Seussical, Jr. is ideal for family with children ages 4+. It will be presented for the public at the Taft Theatre on Friday, December 7 at 7:30 PM.; Saturday, December 8 at 2 PM and 5 PM; and Sunday, December 9 at 2 PM and 5 PM. All shows are at the Taft Theatre, 5th and Sycamore Streets, in downtown Cincinnati.
