CINCINNATI, OH — The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati is the first theater in the country to officially bring everyone's favorite glowing reindeer to life on stage. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: featuring songs from the television classic makes its world-premiere at the Taft Theatre as part of the company's 83rd MainStage season, December 8-10, 2006. Tickets are going FAST!
Unforgettable songs written by Johnny Marks and featured in the 1964 Rankin/Bass stop-motion animated television program like Silver and Gold, Have a Holly Jolly Christmas, and We Are Santa's Elves are wrapped together with a brand NEW story! The production is being directed by Jack Louiso, Artistic Director of The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati. Music and lyrics by Johnny Marks. Story adapted by Creative Concepts. Don't be surprised if you see reindeer tap dancing!
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: featuring songs from the television classic is ideal for family with children ages 4+. It will be presented for the public at the Taft Theatre on Friday, December 8 at 7:30 PM.; Saturday, December 9 at 2 PM and 5 PM; and Sunday, December 10 at 2 PM and 5 PM at the Taft Theatre, 5th and Sycamore Streets, in downtown Cincinnati.

The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati also presents an additional 10 performances of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: featuring songs from the television classic for elementary and middle school students. Ticket prices are $7 per student with one free adult admission for every 15 students. School performances are during the daytime hours December 8 and 12-15.
