Famous Snowman comes to life at The Children's Theatre
Frosty: A Magical Adventure is December's holiday treat

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 18, 2005

CINCINNATI, OH — The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati is bringing everyone's favorite snowman to life this December at the Taft Theatre. This original musical by local composer David Kisor and playwright Mary Tensing, runs Friday, December 9 through Sunday, December 11 at the Taft Theatre. The show is being directed by Jack Louiso, Artistic Director of The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati.

The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati creates a holiday adventure that demonstrates the fact that the greatest joys in life are found in togetherness, celebrating the unexpected magic of the moment. Leave it to good old Frosty the Snowman to come to life and show us that love is the greatest magic there is.

Let's enter the Bennett household as they hurriedly ready themselves for their son, Drew's birthday party. It's too bad that his mom is so preoccupied with the holiday season to really enjoy the event. Drew has created an invitation list that fails to include a classmate named Grace, a girl that has been his friend in the past, but is not in the cool crowd at school. Grace is painfully aware of being left out, and comes to the Bennett's backyard to spy on the festivities with her little sister, Maddie.

As the two sisters creatively design a snowman using their grandfather's old silk hat, in the beauty of the snow, the kids share the magic and wonder of true friendship, and of a talking snowman that no one will soon forget. The surprises keep on rolling as two of Frosty's friends, Jack Frost and Susie Snowflake, come to join the fun and trip the light fantastic.

Like all things in life, changes take place. The next day, after taking the town by storm, Frosty must leave them. It is a terrible disappointment to he children, but they hang onto the hope as he melts away, that he will come again someday! Will he? Share the spirit and remember the magic that can be found when people open their hearts and celebrate the magic of the love around them!
