CINCINNATI, OH — The Children's Theatre kicks off its 82nd season in October with Disney's Cinderella *kids directed by Ken Braso and Jack Louiso. Book adapted by Marcy Heisler. Lyrics by Al Hoffman, Jerry Livingston and Mack David. Music adapted by Bryan Louiselle. Music arranged by Bryan Louiselle. Music by Al Hoffman, Jerry Livingston and Mack David.
The timeless fairy tale meets the magic of Disney in this adaptation of the treasured animated film. Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the Royal Ball. With a little help from her mice friends, and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella goes to the ball, meets the Prince, and falls in love! With a beautiful score including “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes” and the classic “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,” this musical will charm its way into your heart, and remind you that dreams really can come true.
To date, the 2005-2006 season is sure to be a blockbuster for The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati. Subscriptions have topped 3000 - the most subscribers ever in the 82-year history of the organization, and an almost 64% jump from last year. This increase can be attributed to more targeted marketing and a "big name" season, which includes Disney's Cinderella *kids, plus Frosty: A Magical Adventure: December 9-11, 2005; The Wizard of Oz: February 24-26, 2006; and Hansel and Gretel: April 7-9, 2006.
Disney's Cinderella *kids is ideal for family, ideally with children ages 4+. It will be presented for the public at the Taft Theatre on Friday, October 21 at 7:30 PM.; Saturday, October 22 at 2 PM; and Sunday, October 23 at 2 PM and 5 PM at the Taft Theatre, 5th and Sycamore Streets, in downtown Cincinnati.
